THE WOLF
A wild symbol of the French mountains, the wolf ensures the balance of ecosystems by regulating herbivore populations. Found from the Alps to the Pyrenees, it is vulnerable to poaching and the scarcity of its prey. In 2024, nearly a thousand wolves still inhabit France.
The Ross'Wild fund is working alongside the LPO Auvergne Rhône-Alpes to protect this indomitable guardian of our forests.

Scientific research
Implementation of wolf population monitoring programs, in partnership with the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB), in order to collect precise data on their distribution and behavior.
Veterinary care and support
Veterinary interventions to treat injured, weakened or endangered individuals, in order to allow them to return to their natural environment safely.
