THE BEE
Guardian of the Côte d'Azur's biodiversity, the European honeybee ensures the pollination of crops and wild plants. Threatened by pesticides, diseases, exotic predators, and the scarcity of flowers, nearly 30% of colonies disappear each year in France.
The Ross'Wild fund supports, alongside the Bee'Osphera association, concrete actions to protect these essential pollinators.
Creation of living areas
Targeted developments with honey-producing plants and water features, designed to stimulate repopulation of the species and ensure a sustainable habitat for local colonies. To date, nearly one million bees have been protected.
Introduction of fertilized queens
Strengthening colonies by adding selected queens, promoting genetic diversity, the vitality of hives and their ability to cope with external aggression.
Children's awakening
Organization of educational workshops to teach young people about the issues of pollination and the importance of bees in maintaining life.
